I have 2 books about phrasal verbs, but I didn’t find this meaning there.

  Thank you for your comment, Naomi. Maybe if you look up phrasal verbs like “ask over”, “invite over”, “come over”, you might find the meaning there.

Thanks again for such great explanation Tim! Actually I have a list with at least seven questions to ask you, but don’t worry because I’m going to do this little by little.
First I try to find answers for my own questions but sometimes I can’t. That’s why I ask you.
I really hope my doubts are helping other people improve with their English, because it’s something that people here in Canada say a lot!

  That’s correct, José Luiz. That is a different meaning of that phrasal verb “come over”, which means that a feeling or behavior “possesses” you.

  Very good, José Luiz! Just let me suggest that you say “asked my sister over”, which is more common that “ask over my sister”. Good job!

Tim, The American boss called his Brazilian secretary and she said she was going. So he asked her, why are you leaving the office?

After that she learned that the correct answer is I’m coming. For example example if you invite your girlfriend that is at the kitchen to come over to the room, she has to answer you I’m coming.

  Olá, Michelle! O “on” deixa este phrasal verb um pouco mais informal e amigável. come over = come one over.
