How about you? Are you going to your English class this week? Tell me about it below.
I´m not coming to gym today because I´m going to dentist.
Is it right Tim?
Thank you very much!
Yes, Emerson, if you are writing to your gym instructor. However, If you are writing to me, you would simply say, “I’m not going to the gymn today…”, because I am not there, either.
One more thing: you “go to the dentist” (with “the”).
Dear Tim,
thanks for the post. Eu não vou à aula hoje. I am not going to class today.
Why not, Maria?! 🙂
I’M NOT COMING TO CLASS TODAY, BECAUSE MY COMPUTER IS NO SOUND.
Excuses, excuses! 🙂
I know we have a pop quizz this week but I don’t feel like going to class today!! let’s cut class and go to the movies hahaha
You wish! 🙂
Hello, Tim…
Every place we have to use “to the” or only “to”? For exemple: I’m not coming to the college today… or I’m not coming to college…/ I’m not coming to hospital or I’m not coming to the hospital…? I’m not coming to home/ I’m not coming to the home… I never know when we use only “to” or “to the”. What is the difference? Thank you very much.
Thank you for your question. I think I will have to do a mini-podcast about that one, Valéria.
Tim: from the Free Dictionary: It was a shame you couldn’t come with us.
Thanks for sharing it here, Dori!
hi tim! and if my teacher is not at the english schooll? For exemple, I have english classes by the skype, not personaly, so should I say “Im not coming or Im not going to the class?”
On more thing: is there other way to say “cancelar a aula”, without to use “cancel”?
Hello, Gina! In that case, I would probably say “I won’t be able to have class today”. Para cancelar, existe o “call off”, mas pode usar o “cancel” mesmo.
Godd Afternoon!!! Dear Dear Teacher!!
My example: I will not cut off my private class tomorrow.
Best Regards.
Vera Abreu.
That’s a good girl! 😀
Como diria que não posso participar de uma aula via internet?
Normal, Dorivan. Você pode dizer. I won’t be able to have class tonight.
Kkkkk Teacher estou chorando de rir sozinho com seu comentario sobre o aluno que disse que nao ia a aula mas estava no jogo do Paulista!!! kkkkk
Seus podcasts sao os melhores sem duvida!!! Parabens e grande abraco!!!
Thank you, Marcelo! 😀 He was caught red handed! 😉
I am not coming to class today because i am working.
I’m not coming to show today, because I’m sick.
E se fosse uma reuniao? I am not comming to the meeting ? or I am not coming to today’s meeting?
I’ll not be coming to class today, I’m going to watch TV. 😀
