Actually, the three expressions basically mean the same. “Stop by” Spina a little more planned than “pop in”, in my opinion. “Pop in” is more spontaneous. “Check in” is more to see how things are going, if everything is OK, as I explained in the episode.

Is the same thing to say “drop by”?
Yes, “drop by” is a another way to say “dê uma passada” (unscheduled). “Check in” is more to see how things are going, if everything is OK, as I explained in the episode.
