Tim, I would like to hear you talking about two expressions that I readed about yesterday: “To go leaps and bounds” as “Ir aos trancos e barrancos” in portuguese and “to catch the eye” as “Chamar a atenção” in portuguese. Is that commom?
Hello, Pietro. Yes, they are common expressions; but I would not translate “leaps and bounds” as “trancos e barrancos”. “Leaps and bounds” actually means “very fast”.
