We were away on a two-week break; but we’re back now! So today I am going to show you how to say eu já volto in English.

Estávamos ausentes num intervalo de duas semanas; mas já voltamos! Então hoje vou mostrá-lo como dizer ‘eu já volto’ em inglês.

I´m going to the supermarket (or grocery ?) now, but I´ll be right back.

I was in the supermarket, but I´m right back. (???)

He´s going to get some books in the library, but he´ll be right back.

Their mother is going to take them to school, but she´ll be right back.

  Hello, Rosane! Good job with your sentences. Answering your questions: You can say supermarket or grocery story. In the second, you don’t need the “right”; in this case, you can say “but I’m back already/now”.

      When you say “I’m back” you are already saying “voltei” (literally, “estou de volta”). the word BACK is an adverb, so you don’t conjugate it.

Tim, My sentences:

I’m going to the drugstore but I’ll right back. I went to Chile for one and a half month and I’m back. Could I say “I came back” instead of “I’m back”? And how about the question above from Vera. Thank you.
