Hard-boiled egg = ovo de gema dura
Really? I thought it was “ovo cozido”.
Fala Heitor!
Interesting.
I had an egg on my face. A rainy day I fell down in a store in downtow. Thank God, I didin’t bruice , as I was younger. But It was funny and the girls of the store, with their hands on mouth, poor girls, so I tell them: you can laugh. It was funny.
It’s always embarrassing to fall in front of people. But we need to get up and keep on walking! 😀
Interessante esses regionalismos.

Tim. Rsrsrs. Assim dá gosto de aprender. Rsrsrs.
Legal, Paulo! Obrigado pelo comentário! Qual tipo de ovo o índio fez? Hard boiled ou o poached?
Every now and then I have egg on my face because I speak many silly words.
That happens to the best of us! 😀
Don’t worry, here we also have the “poché” egg boiled in water. I have egg on my face when I do it because it always falls apart in the water.
There are several ways of preparing an egg, but I don’t think I’ve ever poched one.

Hi Tim,
I have egg on my face every time as well, but the upside of that is we can learn from our mistakes.
As Jesus has taught us:
“They continued to ask him questions. So he stood up, and he said to them, ‘Has any one of you never done anything wrong? That person may throw the first stone to kill her.’”

Hi Tim!
I have an egg on may face coz I don’t know what blues comes from…
Could you explain it with more historical meanings??
Hi, Marcos. There is no shame in not knowing that. 🙂 I think the names comes from the expression of “feeling blue” (sad). Blues songs are usually sad ballads like.
