why not use “by it´s fruits”? with the preposition “by” instead os “for”?

  Hi, Gabriela. If you say that it’s known “for its fruits”, the meaning is different. For example, when Jesus said “Pelos seus frutos os conhecereis”, in English it is “You will know them by their fruits”. If a city is known BECAUSE it produces fruits, then you say the city is known “for its fruits”. Did you understand?
