     Oi Tim, Será que pode a contração “won’t” na verdade se refere às palavras, want + not, “won’t” (não quer ler). Em vez da contratação, Will + not (não irá ler). Ou poderia ser até Will + want + not.
     Não?

       Não. Neste caso, o modal “will” tem este signficado de “vontade” mesmo. Veja o segundo significado deste modal no dicionario: https://www.ldoceonline.com/dictionary/will A contração do “do not want” seria “don’t want”.

     Yes, that’s correct, Marcos. When you say it like that, it is almost a promise. Just remember it is “I won’t stop…” (no “to”).
