Hey, teacher!

Thanks for these nice tips on podcast!!

But.. I kind of didn’t understand well when we should say e.g. “I like *teaching* online now” or “I like *to teach* online now”. Is there any rule about when should we use -ing after some verbs, such as like, love? Or is there any difference in the meaning between these 2 forms?

I’d be thakful if somebody could help me with this

  Hi, Lise. This is a rather long subject, but I will give you a short summary.
  Some verbs, take a gerund after them: I don’t mind washing dishes.
  Some, an infinitive: I want to wash the dishes.
  Some, both (with almost no change in meaning): I like to wash the dishes. I like washing the dishes.
  And some change meaning: I stopped to wash the dishes. (= I paused so I could wash the dishes.); I stopped washing dishes. (= I don’t wash dishes anymore.)
