Boa noite. A expressão ” to be into” teria o mesmo significado, seria mais informal?

  São semelhantes, mas tem um peso diferente em inglês.
  I don’t care to play ping-pong. = Eu não quero (não tenho vontade, não me interessa – porque não gosto de) jogar ping-pong.
  I’m not into playing ping-pong. = Eu não jogo ping-pong (não me interessa, pelo menos por enquanto). Não é minha praia.

Nestes exemplos abaixo:

I don’t care to parachute.
I don’t care to go parachuting this year. “Depois do To go, usou -ing. Mas, na pergunta:

What don’t you care to do this year? O care to… o “do” não usou o -ing. Por que?

  Depois do “care”, vamos usar um verbo no infinitivo (com “to”).
  
  Existem algumas atividades que podemos descrever em inglês com o verbo direto (exemplo: “to fish”) ou com o verbo go (“go fishing”). Veja este episódio: https://domineingles.com.br/go-para-atividades-esportivas-em-ingles/
  
  Então, no caso do “go parachuting” (que é a mesma coisa, praticamente, que “parachute”), eu usei o “to”, mas com o verbo go. Simplificando:
  
  to go parachuting
  to parachute

Hey Tim, what about the sentence “ I’ve never run a marathon and I don’t even want to.” When you use “want” instead “care” is it too correct?

  You can say it both ways.
  and I don’t care to = and I don’t want to (“even” is optional)
  “I don’t care to” transmite mais ideia de descaso.

Hello Tim, How are you? I hope you are good.

Minha dúvida é a seguinte, a expressão “I don´t care” não significa também: “Eu não me importo” com algo?

Pois dess forma, fica totalmente contrária a interpretação, pois se eu digo: “I don´t care to eat there”, não consigo saber se você “não quer” comer lá, ou se você “não se importa” em comer lá. O que são coisas totalmente opostas, não?

  Sim, “I don’t care” é “não estou nem aí”. Mas quando você diz “I don’t care to do something”, daí muda um pouco o significado.
