This is democracy at its finest. You have to deal with that. The Government and the Congress face everyday a lot of controversial issues and when a majority is formed and it votes yes for an Executive branch’s project it means that the government elected by the majority of the people has reached its goal. The pension reform it’s a must-pass bill. The government can’t keep going without getting it passed.

Tim, I suppose there is another explanation in Portuguese for this sentence ..:“você já se deu conta ?”. We use this a lot in Portuguese, more than “já caiu a ficha”, at least I do.
